If you want to get all your item\/ product data into EasyFinder and make the search features work smoothly, here\u2019s exactly how to do it.<\/p>\n

Step 1. Log in to EasyFinder<\/h3>\n

Go to app.easyfinder.ai and log in.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re new, you\u2019ll land in the onboarding interface. Here, you can choose from different integrations.<\/p>\n

If you want full control or no integration fits your website, select the card\u00a0\u201cLive feed\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Step 2. Add your feed URL<\/h3>\n

In this step, you can paste the URL that points to your feed.<\/p>\n

Right now, EasyFinder supports\u00a0XML<\/strong>\u00a0or\u00a0JSON<\/strong>\u00a0feeds encoded in\u00a0UTF-8<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Before you paste it, make sure your feed is\u00a0complete and properly structured<\/strong>, this ensures EasyFinder can read and sync all your data correctly.<\/p>\n

Below is an example structure based on a typical XML feed (like the one you might use for Google Merchant). The more data you include, the better EasyFinder\u2019s search logic and filtering will work.<\/p>\n

Step 3. Map and Extend Fields in EasyFinder<\/h3>\n

After pasting your feed URL, EasyFinder will automatically detect most fields.<\/p>\n

You can then\u00a0add extra attributes<\/strong>\u00a0if you want to make them searchable or filterable.<\/p>\n

Everything you add here won\u2019t necessarily be displayed, it just enhances the search and filter logic.<\/p>\n

Step 4. Optional: Use the Extra content Fields<\/h3>\n

In EasyFinder, you can customize product cards based on fields in your feed. Use them to show extra content above or below the title, or to toggle badges like “Delivered within 24 hours” by providing a field (e.g. “inOneDay”) with a value like true or 1. Great for stock indicators, delivery info, item summaries, or small icons.<\/p>\n

To set this up, click “Item display settings”. If you want to use conditional logic, make sure “Advanced settings” are enabled via the settings icon.<\/p>\n

Step 4. Pagination<\/h3>\n

EasyFinder also supports pagination in your feed.<\/p>\n

You can use a query parameter like ?page=2 to split your feed into multiple pages.<\/p>\n

Pagination is strongly recommended for all feeds and required if you have more than 50 items.<\/p>\n

We suggest including 10 items per page for best performance and faster syncing.<\/p>\n

Feed structure guidelines overview<\/h3>\n

  • Always use\u00a0UTF-8 encoding<\/strong>\u00a0for your feed.<\/li>\n
  • Use either XML or JSON feeds.<\/li>\n
  • Make sure to include at least one filterable type, such as a brand, custom field, or category.<\/li>\n
  • Product feeds use <items> or <products> as the root element:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    • Include as many relevant fields as possible. The more structured and readable the data, the better EasyFinder can interpret it.<\/li>\n
    • XML guidelines:<\/li>\n
    • Don\u2019t use tag attributes. For example, use\u00a0<product><id>123<\/id><\/product><\/code>\u00a0instead of\u00a0<product id=\"123\">...<\/code>.<\/li>\n
    • Keep the structure as flat as possible. Some nesting is fine, but avoid deep or complex hierarchies.<\/li>\n
    • No encoding of special characters (e.g., &):<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
